Year 13 students win National title at the British Physics Olympiad Awards
Last week, Hannah, in Year 13, was awarded the prestigious "City Waits" Award by the Mayor of Bristol at a ceremony held in the Lantern Hall at the Bristol Beacon.
The sought-after award is given to only two young people each year in recognition of their incredibly high standard of musicianship and extensive contribution to music-making in the City of Bristol. Recipients are rewarded financially and will perform at Guild or City events during the coming year.
Hannah's recent triumph follows her solo performance in the Bristol Beacon Main Hall during the Bristol Schools' Gala Concert. Accompanied by the Bristol Youth Orchestra, her rendition of Bruch's 'Romanze' was a spellbinding moment, marking a significant milestone in her musical journey.
In the coming months, Hannah is set to grace the stage at the prestigious BBC Proms once again as a part of the esteemed National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. Additionally, following her upcoming A Level exams, she will move to Manchester to take a place at the renowned Royal Northern College of Music.
Congratulations to Hannah on this remarkable achievement! We wish her the very best for her upcoming exams.
