The Junior School appoint a new Deputy Head. | Redmaids' High School
This year’s Junior School (Years 5 and 6) production was a swashbuckling adventure called ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’.
It followed young twins Jack and Liza Periwinkle who discover a real life treasure map. But when the infamous Redbeard and his pungent ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’ steal the map and kidnap their mother, the race is on to rescue her, reclaim the map and find the treasure!
Staged over two nights and using a different cast for each evening, the production was a visual delight with colourful costumes, props and scenery. It involved every pupil in Years 5 and 6, and showcased a real range of talent. There were some outstanding solo vocal performances as well as many fine comic moments to enjoy.
Many thanks to Ms Fenton, who brings a wonderful Junior School production to life each year, and to the professional musicians and school choir, who accompanied the girls on stage, and helped make it such an enjoyable evening for everyone.
Please see the school Facebook page for a selection of images from the evening – which are sure to warm the cockles of your heart.
