Junior School cross-country event

X country 1Last week the whole Junior School took part in the first major House event of the year; the Cross-Country run.

This annual event challenges every pupil to run a short distance around the Senior School grounds while being supported by their peers.

It is always a very jolly affair, with a fun group warm-up to start, and everyone who takes part and completes the course (regardless of their time) receives points for their House.

Of course, for Miss Weeks, the Head of Junior School PE, it is one of the best days of her year and she can’t stop herself running alongside the girls and loudly cheering everyone on.

This year, with a clear 50-point lead, the winning House was Discoverer
