It's double pointes for our Year 5 twins
We’re pleased to announce Phoebe and Tamsyn as the new Head Girls at Redmaids’ High School.
Rather than appoint a Head and Deputy Head Girl this year, the Head Girlship will be a joint position, reflecting the strength of this year’s applicants, as well as the shared nature of the duties undertaken.
Tamsyn is currently studying French, Spanish and Drama at A-Level, and would like to study Languages at University, supporting her long term goal to live and work abroad. She’s also very involved in school life, taking part in productions and music ensembles. Through lockdown, she’s taken up running, which has been well fueled by hew new found love of baking.
Phoebe is studying for the International Baccalaureate, with Chemistry, Spanish and Maths at Higher level, and Philosophy, English and Biology at Standard level. She’s passed lockdown by refining her previous skills on the piano – sometimes practicing through the night, to her sister’s annoyance! Like many of us, Phoebe has been running and cycling her way through lockdown ready for a return to school hockey.
Both girls spoke of their happiness to be able to fulfil their duties in person, rather than online, but recognised the excellent work their predecessors, Saskia and Khuski carried out, through the difficult circumstances of lockdown.
