U11 area netball champions
Our U11 netball squad are area champions, having beaten stiff competition from local schools.
The Year 6 Netball Squad arrived at the area tournament, which was hosted by Badminton, excited to play their first competitive match in two years.
As Head of Junior School PE Miss Weeks said, “The girls displayed great focus from the outset, beating every team in their path with their quick interception, skilled pass placement and accurate shooting."
In the end, the scores were as follows:
Game 1: 3-0 win v Bristol Grammar School
Game 2: 4-1 win v Badminton
Game 3: 7-3 win v Elmlea
Game 4: 7-3 win v Colston's
“This was such a successful day,” beamed Miss Weeks, "which reflects the hard work and commitment shown by the girls.".
“I would like to warmly congratulate the entire squad, and give a special mention to Isla, who received Most Valuable Player of the Tournament."
