Close Encounters reach final of the GSA Choir of the Year competition
The 2021 netball season is ramping up, and the top coaching team at Redmaids' High means girls across the Junior, Senior and Sixth Form get to improve their skills with first-class training.
This starts with the very youngest girls in the school as you can see here. Pictured with our Year 3 pupils is Ali Weeks, Head of Junior School PE (right), Julia Rogers, Junior School PE Teacher, and Specialist Netball Coach, Kellie Hull (centre).
With a BSc degree in Sports Development and Coaching from the University of Gloucestershire, Miss Hull is a huge asset to the PE team.
She became a coach for the Severn Stars Netball under 21 team in 2019 – a position she still holds. This is an extremely prestigious coaching role as the Severn Stars Netball Franchise helps talented young netball players to progress to playing games at national and international level.
Miss Hull is also an outstanding athlete in her own right who represented England in the Nets World Championships in South Africa in 2019, an event that showcases the world's best indoor netball players.
It is this level of expertise that she brings to the school.
We are delighted to have Kellie working alongside Junior and Senior School PE staff. Not only is she a great asset when it come to coaching our elite netball squads, she also has a talent for inspiring students of all ages and abilities.
