The future looks bright for Year 13

The future looks bright for Year 13

Word cloud of university destinations

Five girls from Redmaids’ High School are currently holding offers to study at Oxbridge. Three for Oxford (English, English and Spanish, and History) and two for Cambridge (Classics and English).

In addition, of the girls who have applied to university this year, 63% have offers from a Russell Group university, either as their firm or insurance choice. These include offers to study
•    Economics at the London School of Economics
•    Classics, Economics, Biochemistry and Biomedical Science at University College, London
•    Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at Kings College, London
•    Modern Languages and Cultures, and Geography at Durham
•    Medicine at St George’s, London and Liverpool.

It is also highly encouraging to see 33% of our girls planning to study STEM related subjects including Chemical Physics, Physics, Maths, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical and Environmental Engineering and Biochemistry.

Speaking of this year’s applicants Mrs Tobias said, “We are always pleased when our students secure offers from some of the world’s best universities. This is a busy time for them, as they head into exam season, but I am confident their hard work and ambition will pay off.”
