Talented actress returns to school

Talented actress returns to school This week we welcomed alumna and actress Stephanie Houtman back to school.

She spoke to the Junior School pupils about her time at Redmaids' High and the experience she has gained working in the world of TV and theatre.

Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in Acting from The Manchester School of Theatre, Stephanie has worked professionally for many years.

She will shortly be starring in Stephen Merchant’s upcoming BBC Comedy series ‘The Offenders’, which is due for release in 2022 and was also excited to announce that she will be voicing three roles in a new TV animation series for Dreamworks TV.

That said, the thing that impressed the girls the most was when Stephanie explained how she had been the puppeteer and voice of ‘Peppa’ in the Peppa Pig Live UK Tour!

“It was wonderful to see Stephanie again,” said Mrs Brown who taught Stephanie when she joined the Junior School in Year 3.

“She shared many key messages with the girls including the importance of working hard, and of adapting to changing circumstances.”

Before she left, Stephanie had a tour of the Senior School and managed to catch up, and share memories, with some of her former teachers.
