National Children's Orchestra success for Elodie and Emilia
In June, audiences of staff, students and their families were treated to two nights of captivating performances in our lower school production of Charlotte's Web. Before the show, cast members and their families enjoyed a picnic and ice creams outside Redland Hall in the glorious sunshine before taking their seats inside. With only six weeks to learn lines, dance routines and rehearse together, all 115 students involved came together and put on a sensational show.
Laughter, fun, moving heartfelt moments, mesmerising dancing and acting scenes and an infectious feel-good atmosphere. The show had it all! A Year 9 parent said “We loved the performance last night. What great fun! The duck jokes had us in stitches, the dances had us clapping along and the quality of the performances were excellent.”
Another parent commented "Wow! What a show! Thank you so much for giving the girls such a fantastic opportunity. To see the smiles on their faces when they took their bows was just magical."
It is always a privilege to watch our students take to the stage, as they interpret their characters and add their own personal creative touches to their roles. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, either on the stage or behind the scenes, and a special thank you to Mrs Armsby whose vision brought the show to life!
