Pompeii Day
Year 8 spent a whole day learning about the destruction of Pompeii in August 79AD.
They acted as ancient news reporters, interviewing 'survivors' of the eruption; created a dazzling array of mosaics; learnt fascinating facts about Roman food; and enjoyed a screening of the acclaimed BBC drama-documentary 'Pompeii: The Last Day'.
The day was rounded off with a highly competitive and exciting Mega Kahoot quiz, created just for their year group.
A fun and educational day was had by all, including the Classics Department, who dressed as members of Caecilius' household!
