The Egyptian artefacts they saw at Bristol Museum recently, fascinated our Year 4 girls.
The visit brought to life the work they have been doing in class, where they have been studying how ancient Egyptians lived, what their beliefs in the afterlife were and how they mummified the bodies.
Seeing the ancient Egyptian art and hieroglyphics up close, has also inspired the girls' art project, as they now work to recreate the beetle scarab necklaces they saw.
“Most of the trips we organise are included in the fees," explains Headteacher Mrs Brown, "because we feel it is so important to bring subjects to life and make learning really active, interactive and (above all) fun!”
