Celebrating a special man, and 50 years of service
At the height of COP26 as discussions between world leaders were underway, four of our Sixth Form students took part in the Bristol Schools Climate Conference, modelled on the talks in Glasgow. Melody, Gwennie, Poppy and Isobel represented the country of Gabon and powerfully presented its perspective on climate change to the delegation.
Negotiating future global actions was a key part of the conference and our students posed a range of insightful questions which prompted other represented countries to consider their actions.
In the second half of conference, students heard from a range of speakers working to ensure Bristol adapts effectively to climate change.
This was a valuable and timely event to attend and the girls spoke powerfully and convincingly on very important topics, as well as getting to learn from experts in their fields.
Don't forget to register for our upcoming Senior School Entrance Examination on Saturday 8 January.
