Celebrating our strong GCSE results

image00035-2-1-1image00003-Aug-22-2024-08-32-47-8945-AM-1-1Our Year 11 students had much to celebrate today after receiving strong GCSE results.
We are delighted that 53% of grades are 9 or 8, the equivalent of A* under the previous grading system, and 73% are 9-7, the equivalent of A*-A, compared to the national average of 22%.
The school enjoyed success across several departments, including in Art, PE and Russian where a brilliant 50% or more grades were at a 9.

The results across all areas are a continued testament to the support and guidance offered by staff and the expert pastoral care that allows students to navigate their school life successfully and feel ready to move to their next chapter.
The school’s Head Paul Dwyer said, “We have seen some fantastic results today, and this is a wonderful reflection of the hard work of our students who have made the most of the opportunities available to them at our school.
“We are delighted to continue to support them as they enter the Sixth Form with us and pursue a diverse range of A Level subjects, including Physics, Computer Science, Modern Foreign Languages and Fine Art, as well as our new exciting programme of Electives.
“We hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer break, and I look forward to welcoming so many families back to school at the beginning of the next academic year.”
