Redmaids’ High Celebrate Gold at Buckingham Palace

Class of '24 leavers Hannah, Phoebe, Caitlin and Natasha last week took a break from their university studies and gap years to celebrate their fantastic achievement of completing the Gold DofE award!

Having successfully undertaken their assessed expedition in Snowdonia last summer, an invitation to Buckingham Palace for the celebration event was the perfect reward for their efforts. With speeches from the Duke of Edinburgh himself as well as other well-known TV, sport and media personalities, it was so fitting that everyone recognised the dedication and hard work our students put into completing all 5 sections of the award.

Fellow Gold participants Rosie and Margot will be collecting their awards at separate celebratory events.

We are so proud here at Redmaids' High that so many of our students participate in the DofE Award each year, with the Gold award open to all in our Sixth Form!
