Hitting the high notes | Redmaids' High School
Our Year 11 and 13 Classical Civilisation students enjoyed an invigorating trip to the British Museum in London.
They were able to view some of the ancient artworks they study, such as the Parthenon marbles, Athenian vases, the Temple of Bassae sculptures, and many other amazing items - including the history-making Rosetta Stone.
One Year 11 students remarked how, "It was really insightful to see these incredible artefacts up close and personal!"
This trip is an annual event designed to enhance the girls' study of ancient art and culture.
As Dr Wynell-Mayow, our Teacher of Classics kept reminding everyone, "How lucky are we to have such treasures, so close to home, available for us all to enjoy?"
