Awarded highest rating by The Telegraph for value-for-money

This summer, students at Redmaids’ High School GDST attained incredible exam results with 53% of A Level grades achieved A*-A and 82% of grades achieved at A*-B. GCSE results were equally impressive with 63% of grades awarded 9-8 (A* - A) and 82% of grades awarded 9-7. This puts us well ahead of national averages but also cements our position as a leading independent school in Bristol.

Our strong academic performance has also been recognised externally. The Sunday Times has named Redmaids’ High the top Bristol school for academic performance for the past four years, while The Telegraph has rated our results this year as ‘very good’ – its highest possible rating within its value-for-money measures. Our Deputy Head Academic, Ms Anya Peyton, said, “We are immensely proud of all that our students have achieved this year.

"While we set high expectations for every girl, we recognise that success is best achieved with balance, well-being and a genuine sense of belonging. With strong academic guidance alongside exceptional pastoral care and the opportunity to explore interests beyond the classroom, our students are able to flourish, and these results are a wonderful reflection of that.”
