This weekend, Alice, in Year 10, gave a stunning performance of the 1st movement of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major with Bristol Youth Orchestra. Being chosen to perform was a tremendous achievement, with Bristol Youth Orchestra showcasing some of the best musical talent from young players across the city.

The conductor of the orchestra, Tim Harrison, commented: "Alice’s responsiveness to the orchestra, engagement with the audience and fantastic tone quality brought real vitality to this concerto. She captivated us all with her virtuosic cadenza. Her playing and musicianship continues to grow from strength to strength."

And she continued: “Here at Redmaids’ High we pride ourselves on our music provision. Our inclusive and engaging curriculum helps our students to build on their individual music skills and become the musicians they want to be. Our music department is a buzzing place where the girls can get out of their comfort zone and explore their creative side. And this is our aim; to give them the opportunity to develop themselves artistically, inspiring in them a life-long passion for music.”.
