**UPDATE**  - Friday 22 October - Emily's work was highly commended, meaning it has been chosen to be displayed for politicians and members of the public at COP26 in Glasgow (31 October – 12 November 2021). This is a huge achievement, and we are so proud to have Redmaids' High representation during these crucial climate change discussions.

Congratulations to Emily in Year 8 who has had a piece of artwork shortlisted for the international prize, “Words and Pictures of Your World” as hosted by Planetary International. All shortlisted entries will be included in an anthology, with pieces being displayed at the UN Climate Change Conference, Cop26, in Glasgow at the end of this month.

To be shortlisted is a huge achievement as there were hundreds of entries from across the globe from over 60 schools! The competition has run in partnership with the UK Schools Sustainability Network and was intended to unite students for the protection of the natural world.

The three international winners are due to be announced Saturday 9 October 2021 so we’ll keep our fingers crossed for Emily, but regardless of the outcome, we think you should be very proud of this fabulous painting.

Join us at our next Senior School Open Morning on Tuesday 9 November, to find out more about Redmaids' High.
