Grades were strong across the board, exceeding last year’s results with 94% of grades at 9-6 and 67% of grades at 8 or 9, the equivalent of an A* under the previous grading model.
Our broad curriculum enables students to select a balanced range of studies at GCSE that inspires them both academically and on a personal level and we are thrilled to see exceptional results across the wide range of subjects we offer. In PE, Music, and Textiles, 100% of students achieved 8s and 9s. In English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Business Studies, Drama, Geography, Food and Nutrition, History, and Latin over 60% of students achieved a grade 8 or 9, and all students who studied Art, German, Russian and Religious Studies were awarded grades 7 – 9.
Individual successes came for many students with 39% of all grades awarded the top grade of 9 and 8 students who achieved 10 or more grade 9s including Sarah, Catherine, Mitusha, Kaelen, and Ash. Catherine and Ash will be studying Maths, History, and Physics and RPE, Latin, Russian and Creative Writing respectively at A Level. While Sarah, Mitusha, and Kaelen have chosen the IB Diploma pathway and will be studying a wide array of subjects including French, Maths, Russian, Global Politics, Chemistry, Biology, and History.
Tremendous results were also achieved in Dance - a newly introduced qualification in 2019 - with 79% of students gaining a grade 9. Many of these students will be the first cohort to take part in our new bespoke Dance Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) available to Sixth Form students from September.

We’re incredibly proud of everything this year group has accomplished and we know they will show the same commitment and passion to their studies as they start Sixth Form in a few weeks' time.”
