As a result, the judging panel consider the winners to be the classical music "stars of the future.”  Speaking of Lucy’s musicianship, Mrs Harrison the Director of Music at Redmaids’ High School said, “We are really proud of Lucy and this latest achievement. “She is a very talented musician who has won so many accolades in the last year or so, including winning a coveted place on the English Schools' Orchestra 2020, being appointed a City Wait (musician to the Lord Mayor), placing second in the Rotary Young Musician Finals for Avon, and winning the Bristol Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. "Winning the [Two Moors Festival](https://www.twomoorsfestival.co.uk/) is another wonderful achievement.” Lucy is currently studying A Level Music and is in the process of applying to read Music at degree level.     Date Posted: 1 October, 2020 [Share](http://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/news-article/lucy-hits-the-high-notes) ## Articles for: Extra-Curricular ![Redmaids' High Musician Spoilt for Choice | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Lucy%20K-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=Lucy%20K-450_th.jpg) **Redmaids' High Musician Spoilt for Choice | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 13 January, 2021 READ MORE ![World-class Nicola Benedetti performs at Redmaids' High | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/image1-450_th-Jul-08-2021-03-20-22-60-PM.jpg?width=770&name=image1-450_th-Jul-08-2021-03-20-22-60-PM.jpg) **World-class Nicola Benedetti performs at Redmaids' High | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 15 October, 2018 READ MORE ![Redmaids’ High girls make history! | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Public%20speaking%20success-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=Public%20speaking%20success-450_th.jpg) **Redmaids’ High girls make history! | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 23 November, 2020 READ MORE ![World-class drama at Redmaids' High | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/image1-450_th-Jul-08-2021-03-20-32-91-PM.jpg?width=770&name=image1-450_th-Jul-08-2021-03-20-32-91-PM.jpg) **World-class drama at Redmaids' High | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 9 October, 2018 READ MORE ![Redland Hall showcases first-class music | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Music%20edited%20-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=Music%20edited%20-450_th.jpg) **Redland Hall showcases first-class music | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 10 October, 2019 READ MORE ![Miranda Krestovnikoff to speak at Redmaids' High | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Miranda-Krestovnikoff-Copyright--2-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=Miranda-Krestovnikoff-Copyright--2-450_th.jpg) **Miranda Krestovnikoff to speak at Redmaids' High | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 24 May, 2019 READ MORE ![Commemorative plaque unveiled at site of Redland High School | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Alice%20Bird%20unveling%20plaque-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=Alice%20Bird%20unveling%20plaque-450_th.jpg) **Commemorative plaque unveiled at site of Redland High School | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 28 June, 2021 READ MORE ![Celebrating books! | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/image1-450_th-Jul-08-2021-03-21-05-44-PM.jpg?width=770&name=image1-450_th-Jul-08-2021-03-21-05-44-PM.jpg) **Celebrating books! | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 13 March, 2018 READ MORE ![Hitting the high notes](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/WEBIMG_9307%20square.jpg?width=770&name=WEBIMG_9307%20square.jpg) **Hitting the high notes** Date Posted: 23 November, 2021 It was wonderful to be able to bring our Junior School girls together again, to perform in front of a live audience.
