Lele shared her journey with our junior pupils, from starting judo at age 8, to discovering a passion for the sport and learning the valuable lesson of resilience throughout her career. She encouraged the girls to always believe in themselves, keep trying and never give up, even when faced with setbacks. Lele delivered a powerful message about how judo has enabled her to build confidence, develop new skills and courage, make friends and above all, have fun. The biggest achievements of her career include the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022, the Paris Olympic Games in 2024, and of course, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games this summer, where she secured a fantastic bronze medal in the –57kg category, representing Team England. Thank you, Lele, for coming in and showing our girls where dedication, determination and resilience can lead!                 Date Posted: 21 September, 2026 [Share](http://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/lele-nairne-inspires-the-juniors) ## Articles for: Junior, Sport ![Award-winning Junior School STEM teams | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_8288%20edited%20-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=IMG_8288%20edited%20-450_th.jpg) **Award-winning Junior School STEM teams | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 17 January, 2020 READ MORE ![Celebrating Carnival culture on Big Girl Little Girl day](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Untitled%20design-Sep-19-2024-03-14-55-0730-PM.png?width=770&name=Untitled%20design-Sep-19-2024-03-14-55-0730-PM.png) **Celebrating Carnival culture on Big Girl Little Girl day** Date Posted: 19 September, 2024 READ MORE ![New Head and Deputy Head Girl announced | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/thumbnail_IMG_3698-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=thumbnail_IMG_3698-450_th.jpg) **New Head and Deputy Head Girl announced | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 21 April, 2020 READ MORE ![New celebrity judge and charity partner announced for Bristol School's 48 Hour Film Challenge | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/andrew-kondrakov-s7Mc0yKTppo-unsplash-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=andrew-kondrakov-s7Mc0yKTppo-unsplash-450_th.jpg) **New celebrity judge and charity partner announced for Bristol School's 48 Hour Film Challenge | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 7 April, 2021 READ MORE ![Award winning Junior School | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/SA_Mental%20Health%20-%20Award%20(1)-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=SA_Mental%20Health%20-%20Award%20(1)-450_th.jpg) **Award winning Junior School | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 18 January, 2021 READ MORE ![The Junior School appoint a new Deputy Head. | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/thumbnail_Christopher%20Haynes%20portrait%201-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=thumbnail_Christopher%20Haynes%20portrait%201-450_th.jpg) **The Junior School appoint a new Deputy Head. | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 26 April, 2021 READ MORE ![Junior School students take to the stage | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/DSCN0495-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=DSCN0495-450_th.jpg) **Junior School students take to the stage | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 16 March, 2020 READ MORE ![Success for our Junior and Senior judo teams | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/20200209_132755%20JUDO%20edited%20-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=20200209_132755%20JUDO%20edited%20-450_th.jpg) **Success for our Junior and Senior judo teams | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 14 February, 2020 READ MORE ![A fantasy-themed World Book Day at the Junior School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Untitled%20design%20(27)-1.png?width=770&name=Untitled%20design%20(27)-1.png) **A fantasy-themed World Book Day at the Junior School** Date Posted: 20 March, 2024 READ MORE ![Dinosaur WOW Day at the Junior School | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/thumbnail_image1-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=thumbnail_image1-450_th.jpg) **Dinosaur WOW Day at the Junior School | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 13 November, 2019 READ MORE ![What a wonderful surprise! | Redmaids' High School](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/letter%201-450_th.jpg?width=770&name=letter%201-450_th.jpg) **What a wonderful surprise! | Redmaids' High School** Date Posted: 24 February, 2021 READ MORE ![A fun-filled day out on our Big Girl, Little Girl trip](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/PXL_20230911_083803835.jpg?width=770&name=PXL_20230911_083803835.jpg) **A fun-filled day out on our Big Girl, Little Girl trip** Date Posted: 25 September, 2023 READ MORE ![Junior School cross-country event](https://news.redmaidshigh.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/X%20country%201.jpg?width=770&name=X%20country%201.jpg) **Junior School cross-country event** Date Posted: 23 September, 2021 Last week the whole Junior School took part in the first major House event of the year; the Cross-Country run.
