To do this, she has taken a three-month sabbatical from her work as Client Director for AON Reward Services. At the same time, she is raising money for ‘Go Beyond’, a charity that gives children and young people who are facing serious challenges, a memorable holiday.
As she explains, “Founded by two Devon teachers in 1992, John and Paula wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. Over the years, they have supported over 17,000 children, and seen them grow in confidence during a happy, action-packed week of outdoor adventure, friendship and support.
“It is so important to have a break, and I feel very lucky to be able to step away from my day-to-day responsibilities to do something that will benefit others. As well as have an adventure myself!”
The whole of the school feel extremely proud of what Louise is doing, especially Mrs Brown the Headteacher of the Junior School who remembers her positive and energetic spirit.
“It is no surprise to me to see Louise taking this on, as she was always up for ‘having a go’ and trying new things. In fact, when she left the Junior School at the end of Year 6 she received the Skern Lodge Cup for Endeavour for her all-round excellence.
“She then went on to become Head Girl of the Senior School in Year 12.
“I look forward to welcoming her back to school when she has completed this challenge to help us inspire the next generation of positive and purposeful girls - who actively think of others.
