The New York Times are running a series of events this November, bringing together scientists, inventors, academics and journalists to answer the question: How do we adapt and thrive on a changing planet?
This is, of course, to coincide with the COP 26 Summit in Glasgow (31 October - 12 November), held in Glasgow this year, where leaders across the world will come together to discuss action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention.
In school, as part of the Athena Programme, encouraging learning beyond the curriculum, we are encouraging any interested students to sign up via the Hub so we can watch them together after school, followed by discussion groups on the topics covered. This is a brilliant chance to have meaningful debate about issues that impact the world we live in and is suitable for all students in Year 7 through to the Sixth Form.
However, anyone can register so don’t miss out on this chance to hear some interesting discussions on vitally important topics.
