England Netball Roses Academy re-selection for Neve
We are thrilled to announce the outstanding results received by our year 13 students across A Levels and, for the final time, IB.
For A Levels, an amazing 68% of grades were achieved at A* or A, significantly higher than the national average of 28.7%, with 88% of grades achieved at A*-B, and 98% A*-C.
For the IB, which saw the final cohort to attain this qualification at Redmaids’ High, the results were equally impressive. 11 students in all studied the IB gaining an average of 39 points (out of a total of 45) against a UK average of 35. We are delighted to highlight that one of our students, Astrid, gained full marks and will now go onto study Modern European Languages and History at Durham University.
Whilst we are delighted to celebrate top grades, we are thrilled with the progress all of our students make. For instance, over 80% of students studying either Government and Politics or Business exceeded their predicted results.
The range of courses our students are moving onto study showcases their diverse interests and talents. Martha is already settled at the University of Maine on a sports and academic scholarship and Hannah has already taken up her apprenticeship in Early Years education. We have an impressive number of young women going onto pursue STEM related courses such as Computer Science, Veterinary Science, Paramedic Science and Dentistry. Alice intends to study Design Engineering at Imperial College and Sophie will study Medicine at Bristol after first pursuing an Art Foundation. Both students have made significant contribution to the creative and extra-curricular life of our school demonstrating the Endless Opportunities at Redmaids’ High School. Students from this cohort will also go onto study courses ranging from Contour Fashion, International Human Rights Law, Liberal Arts in the USA, Russian and Contemporary Chinese Studies and History.
The diversity of pathways beyond school continues to be a sign of strength for Redmaids' High and the expert guidance and broad opportunity it offers students.
Head, Paul Dwyer, commented, “The A Level and IB results for this year have been truly exceptional, showcasing the remarkable dedication of the entire year group as well as the incredible efforts of our staff. This cohort has shone in so many ways across all aspects of school life.
“I wish them all the very best and cannot wait to welcome them back to our Prizegiving event in September to most properly celebrate them as they go out and shape the world. I have a strong belief in Redmaids’ High as the best school for girls in Bristol and this cohort have exemplified this in so many ways.”
