Over 50 of them signed up to do some stargazing from our observatory, using our state-of-the-art school telescope. The girls, and their families, also heard from John Swann from The Travelling History Company who explained how significant historical and human events are linked to what happens in the sky. This was fascinating to hear about!
Our own Physics Teachers, supported by Year 10 and 12 students, then led a series of workshops - one of which involved taking the participants on a mission to the moon! What would they need to pack to help them survive?
The evening ended with hot chocolate and marshmallows being toasted around an open fire.
As one Year 4 parents said, “Wow! What an awesome evening!
“Huge thanks to Head of Physics Mr Kealy and his team.
“We had a super time and learnt so much!”
